A new report from NIFU concludes that the FRIPRO funding scheme for independent research projects supports basic research of high scientific quality. FRIPRO also appears to be having an important impact on research recruitment and to be good at providing opportunities for female researchers. Results are somewhat mixed concerning scientific renewal.

This article is based on a survey carried out in 2007 about the relevance of doctoral training in different labour markets. Almost all the doctoral graduates had relevant employment. There are surprisingly small differences in the graduates' assessment of the relevance of the education across different labour markets.  To the article

This paper presents an empirical analysis of two different methodologies for calculating national citation indicators: whole counts and fractionalised counts. The aim of our study is to investigate the effect on relative citation indicators when citations to documents are fractionalised among the authoring countries.

"Key innovation indicators - Learning from principles and practices applied by professional industrial players and investors". NIFU participated in this project led by Menon Business Economics. The aim of this project was to review indicators of innovation, currently in use in the Nordic countries and suggest improvements.
