Watch NIFU’s seminar about trends in scientific publishing
On December 7, NIFU hosted a seminar with two presenters discussing the origins and implications of the tremendous growth in scientific publishing in recent years. The seminar is now available to see online.

- Professor Marco Seeber (University of Agder): Evolution of the business models in scientific publishing and its implications.
- Research professor Dag W. Aksnes (NIFU): To what extent has open access (OA) publishing benefited researchers in lower-income countries? A global analysis of reference patterns 1980-2020.
Followed by comments from Gunnar Sivertsen (NIFU) and Espen Sandøe Karlsen (Research Council of Norway), and questions and comments from the audience.
