Trans4Demo explores the dual crises of climate and democracy through participatory and interdisciplinary methodologies. NIFU is leading WP4 in the project, which will explore novel repertoires of engagement as a way of responding to critiques of current representative democratic mechanisms. This includes using the future as a novel site for examining the future of democracy by facilitating futures literacy laboratories and developing a European children’s climate report with partners. NIFU will also lead the comparative analysis between the case studies in WP3, as well as conduct a case study in Norway where different avenues for protest as regards ways of maneuvering the climate crises are identified and examined.
